iOS 26.5 RC sets up support for app sideloading in Brazil

Apple’s iOS 26.5 release candidate now lists Brazil as a region that supports app sideloading.

The update follows Apple’s settlement with CADE, which requires alternative app distribution and third-party payment options in Brazil.

If rolled out, Brazilian users could install apps outside the App Store and use non-Apple payment methods.

The move would mark a major shift in Apple’s platform rules under local antitrust enforcement.
