Microsoft launches its first cybersecurity model, plus a new agentic cybersecurity system

Microsoft unveiled MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, its first model built specifically for cybersecurity tasks.

It also introduced Perception, an agentic AI security platform that can detect vulnerabilities and help automate remediation.

Both products are scheduled to enter preview on November 3.

The launch broadens Microsoft’s AI security lineup and raises the stakes in competition with Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and others.
