At Wonder Festival 2026 [Summer], the popular fictional character Konkojirou from the X account “A Panel from a Nonexistent Manga” was displayed as a garage kit.

The exhibition made a net-born fake character tangible at a major event, highlighting the reach of fan-driven, derivative creation.

A related project for Konkojirou’s “son,” Konkoichi, was also announced.

The display drew attention as a sign of how online fictional characters can expand into physical collectibles and merchandise.
