Deputy Prime Minister Bae Kyung-hoon: "Positioning Korea as a country that exports AI tokens to the world"

Vice Minister and Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon said at the AIDC Alliance launch that Korea will build AI data centers as token-producing hubs and turn the sector into an export industry.

The alliance is a public-private body to execute Korea’s AI strategy around semiconductors and data centers, with working groups, an executive council, and a committee structure.

It will push special legislation, budget support, and cluster development in stages to accelerate large-scale AIDC deployment.

The move signals Korea’s effort to make AI data centers and related industries a strategic national sector and secure a place in the global AI supply chain.
