Google Gemini Avatars Bring Nano Banana Image Creation Into Personalized Workflows

Google is adding personal avatars to Gemini Apps. Users can create them from face and voice recordings or uploaded references, then reuse them as @username mentions in prompts.

These avatars can be applied across Nano Banana image generation and Gemini Omni video generation, reducing the need to repeatedly restate or re-upload the same visual identity.

Google also unveiled a related Personal Intelligence and Nano Banana personalization experience that uses user context and Google Photos to make outputs more personal.

Availability is limited by region and subscription tier. The rollout is selective, including EEA, Switzerland, and the UK, with privacy controls still in place.
