China’s LineShine Supercomputer To Hit 2 ExaFlops With 47,000 CPUs and Zero Reliance on Foreign Chips

China unveiled LineShine, a two-phase supercomputer project in Shenzhen built entirely with domestic hardware.

The system is designed to deliver more than 2 exaFLOPS of sustained performance using about 47,000 CPUs, large storage, liquid cooling, and support for AI and HPC workloads.

If completed as planned, LineShine would significantly boost China’s high-end computing capacity and reduce reliance on foreign semiconductor technology.
