Amazon Accused of Hiding Worker’s Death for a Week, Making Employees Keep Working as Corpse Lay on Floor

Amazon is facing allegations that it concealed a worker’s death at its Troutdale, Oregon distribution center and kept employees working nearby for hours.

According to The Western Edge, a worker collapsed and died on April 6, while supervisors allegedly told staff not to look at the body and to continue working.

The report says many employees were not informed for several hours; Amazon later offered counseling and unpaid leave.

Amazon says the death was tied to a pre-existing medical condition and rejects the criticism as misinformation.

The case is drawing scrutiny over warehouse safety, crisis response, and transparency at Amazon facilities.
