A Crazy Expensive U.S. Drone Just Disappeared Over Strait Of Hormuz

On April 9, a U.S. Navy MQ-4C Triton was tracked in the Strait of Hormuz.

The drone turned toward Iran and sent an automated 7700 distress alert.

It dropped rapidly from 52,000 feet.

Its transponder signal was lost below 10,000 feet, according to FlightRadar tracking.

There is still no official confirmation of the Triton's fate.
