Iranian Hackers Breached Kash Patel’s Email—but Not the FBI’s

Patel’s older personal Gmail account was breached.

Handala suggested on its website that the emails contained classified information.

In 2014 Patel appears to have forwarded some emails from his Justice Department email account to that Gmail account.

Cybersecurity experts have described Handala as an “opportunistic” hacker group.

Some messages in the breached Gmail account came from Patel’s Justice Department account via those 2014 forwards.
