Orbitals preview: anime co-op game features 'a lot of the same design' as It Takes Two

Shapefarm has previewed Orbitals, a local co-op adventure game.

The game centers on quick retries, asymmetrical and simultaneous teamwork, short sessions, and strong player communication.

Director Jakob Lundgren said its co-op philosophy draws heavily from Hazelight titles like It Takes Two and Split Fiction.

Creative director Marcos Ramos said the game’s look and characters are inspired by classic anime such as Dragon Ball, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Cowboy Bebop.

Orbitals aims to be an approachable local co-op experience for mixed-skill players with a distinct retro anime style.
