Gwangyang conducts field inspections for crop and livestock damage amid prolonged heatwave

Gwangyang City will intensify field inspections through the end of August to prevent heatwave damage to crops and livestock.

About 70 staff from the city and the Agricultural Technology Center will check paddy fields, orchards, greenhouse facilities, and livestock farms.

Inspections will focus on irrigation, ventilation, greenhouse cooling, livestock care, and heat-related illness prevention for farmers.

The move aims to reduce crop growth setbacks, livestock losses, and health risks caused by prolonged extreme heat.
