China’s J-35 stealth jets could be deployed on every aircraft carrier, state media says

Chinese state media says the J-35 stealth fighter could eventually operate from all three of China’s aircraft carriers, including Liaoning and Shandong.

The J-35 is already believed to be compatible with Fujian’s catapult system, while the older ski-jump carriers would likely need retrofits.

CCTV remarks and satellite imagery have fueled speculation about possible deck modifications on the legacy carriers.

If deployed across the full carrier fleet, the J-35 would expand China’s naval strike range, payload, and overall combat capability.
