SOND, a sleep tech startup from Bose’s former head of sleep, exits stealth with $7M

Boston startup SOND came out of stealth with $7 million in funding to launch Dreambuds, an AI-powered sleep earbud system.

Dreambuds uses a closed-loop design to monitor biometric signals and adjust or generate sleep audio in real time.

Founded by MIT alumni, including Bose’s former head of sleep products, SOND is focused on improving sleep, not just masking noise.

The launch highlights a broader shift in sleep wearables toward sensor-driven, personalized intervention backed by major investors.
