US Navy-certified rescue submarine can reach stranded crews worldwide in 96 hours

The US Navy certified the Submarine Rescue Diving and Recompression System after a final manned dive to 2,000 feet on March 6.

The remotely operated SRDRS can deploy globally within 96 hours and is authorized for worldwide emergency rescue missions.

Its Pressurized Rescue Module can recover up to 16 personnel per mission after completing unmanned and manned certification dives.
