Anthropic acquires Stainless, an SDK and MCP tools company

Anthropic acquired U.S. startup Stainless, a New York-based company that builds SDK and MCP server tooling.

Stainless has already generated SDKs for Anthropic’s API and will now support Claude’s developer tooling.

The deal is aimed at improving Claude’s external connectivity and agent integrations with third-party tools and data.

It also strengthens Anthropic’s position in the growing MCP ecosystem.
