Android Auto is getting video apps, music updates, and more Gemini smarts

Google said Android Auto and Android Automotive will gain video apps, Dolby Atmos, redesigned media layouts, and a Zoom app over 2026.

The update also expands Google Maps with more immersive navigation and live lane guidance in supported cars.

Gemini-powered features will add more context-aware voice help, including tasks like finding info and acting on what’s on screen.

Google is positioning Android-based vehicles as more capable hubs for entertainment, navigation, and assistance.
