Doubao Search Has Stepped Out of Doubao

Volcano Engine has opened Doubao app’s search capability to enterprises and developers, exposing it for Agent use via API, MCP, and Skills.

The search product is positioned as agent-ready: it returns not just links, but authority tiers, publish times, summaries, and source excerpts.

Test cases such as Fields Medal, Kimi K3, new-energy vehicles, and AI coding show it helps Agents judge credibility and extract conclusions faster.

The move reframes search as structured infrastructure for fresh, source-sensitive tasks, reducing manual page reading and token waste.
