OpenAI introduces "AAS," an advanced security feature with physical key support for ChatGPT

OpenAI is rolling out an optional Advanced Account Security mode for ChatGPT and Codex.

The upgrade requires passkeys or hardware security keys, while disabling password login and email/SMS recovery.

Accounts with the feature enabled are excluded from model training, reducing exposure of sensitive data.

OpenAI also announced a Yubico partnership to offer branded YubiKey security keys.
