OpenAI officially confirms mega-funding round and ChatGPT super app

OpenAI closed a funding round, raising $122 billion at an $852 billion valuation.

Major backers include Amazon, Nvidia, SoftBank, Microsoft, a16z, BlackRock, Sequoia and other investors.

Private investors put in $3 billion via banking channels, and OpenAI expanded its credit line to $4.7 billion.

OpenAI reports $2 billion in monthly revenue and says enterprise revenue accounts for more than 40% of total revenue.

OpenAI unveiled a ChatGPT Super App combining ChatGPT, the Codex coding agent, web search and broader agentic capabilities; ChatGPT has crossed 900 million weekly active users.
