Broadcasting and Media Commission Holds Meeting on Responding to Teens' Overdependence on Social Media

The Broadcast and Media Communications Commission held a forum in Seoul with parents, middle and high school teachers, and experts to discuss youth overdependence on social media.

Participants called for better platform design, stronger safeguards, and self-regulation education to reduce SNS overuse among children and teens.

They also stressed that the government, schools, families, and platform companies must respond together to protect young users.
