Introducing the Stateful Runtime Environment for Agents in Amazon Bedrock

OpenAI and Amazon announced a joint Stateful Runtime Environment that runs natively in Amazon Bedrock.

The runtime is powered by OpenAI models and is optimized for AWS infrastructure for agentic workflows.

It preserves working context across multi-step tasks, including memory, tool state, and identity boundaries.

The runtime operates inside customers' AWS environments to integrate with security and governance tooling and will be available soon.
