Netflix Makes It Easier to Search for Accessible Movies and TV Shows

Netflix launched Search by Language, letting users find movies and TV shows by original language, subtitles, dubbing, and audio description.

The company said it expanded audio description to more than 13,000 hours across 34 languages last year.

American Sign Language support will be added in the near future, and Netflix highlighted an accessibility-focused collection for Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

The update improves discoverability for viewers with disabilities and language preferences, while reflecting growing competition over accessibility features in streaming.
