New at Disneyland: Your Face, Recognized at the Gate

Disneyland has begun rolling out optional facial scanning at some California entry lines to verify guests against ticket or pass photos.

The company says the system is meant to curb pass sharing and ticket fraud, not to make facial recognition mandatory.

Disney says it deletes the numeric facial data within 30 days in most cases, but privacy questions remain about image handling and future use.
