Popular data visualization tool Grafana suffers unauthorized access, token with access to GitHub codebase stolen

Grafana Labs said an attacker stole a GitHub token and used it to access and download its codebase.

The attacker then tried to extort the company, but Grafana refused to pay the ransom.

Grafana said there is no evidence that customer data or personal information was accessed.

The company revoked the compromised credentials and added further security controls.
