AMD’s Ryzen X3D Chips Were So Fast They Broke Apex Legends Physics, Forcing Respawn to Patch the Game Around Them

Respawn rolled out the Apex Legends Overclocked patch to fix physics bugs and stuttering on very fast high single-thread CPUs, including AMD Ryzen X3D chips.

The update also adds PC-side graphics and performance improvements, aiming for smoother gameplay on high-end hardware.

The issue highlights how extremely fast CPUs can expose timing and engine problems in games, especially around physics and frame pacing.
