CATL says its new EV battery can recharge from 10% to 98% in six minutes

CATL unveiled its third-generation Shenxing LFP battery, saying it can charge from 10% to 98% in about six minutes.

The battery is designed to perform well in cold weather, making ultra-fast charging more practical in real-world use.

CATL also introduced a third-generation Qilin battery with more than 1,000 km of range.

The claims could reduce EV charging-time barriers and intensify pressure on rivals such as BYD and Western automakers.
