Hands on with X’s new AI-powered custom feeds

X has launched Premium-only Custom Timelines, letting users pin AI-curated topic feeds to the home tab.

The feature uses xAI’s Grok to label posts and powers more than 75 topic-based feeds, currently available on iOS.

Android support is coming later, while X plans to shut down its underused Communities feature.

The rollout suggests X is using Grok to reshape feed discovery, deepen personalization, and potentially expand ad inventory.
