SpaceX unveils Starship V3, the super-heavy rocket with many improvements over the previous generation; launch test date also set

SpaceX unveiled Starship V3, the latest version of its reusable super-heavy rocket, with changes to the booster, stage connection, propulsion system, and Raptor 3 engines.

The company scheduled the first test launch for May 19, 2026, from Starbase in Texas.

The mission aims to deploy 22 dummy Starlink satellites and end with a splashdown about 65 minutes after liftoff.

The update signals a major step in SpaceX’s effort to improve performance and reliability for future reusable launches.
