OpenAI launches Deployment Company to build and deploy AI systems

OpenAI is launching a new Deployment Company with more than $4 billion in capital.

The unit acquired Tomoro, pending approvals, to strengthen its on-site implementation capabilities.

It is built around forward deployed engineers who work directly with customers to deploy production AI systems.

The move pushes OpenAI beyond model building into hands-on enterprise AI delivery.
