Secret Service fatally shoots suspect after attack near White House checkpoint

A gunman opened fire at a Secret Service checkpoint near the White House and was killed by responding officers.

A bystander was wounded, but no Secret Service personnel were injured.

CBS identified the suspect as 21-year-old Nasire Best.
