Google launches native Gemini app for Mac

Google has released a native Gemini app for Mac, expanding its AI assistant beyond Android and iOS to the desktop for the first time.

The app opens with Option+Space, lives in the Menu Bar, and syncs with a Google Account.

It supports screen sharing plus local files, Drive, Photos, and NotebookLM, making AI help easier during everyday Mac workflows.

Users also get access to image, video, music, deep research, and other creative tools.
