This Chinese aircraft looks like a UFO, but it’s not CGI: it’s already flying, and its design has a very specific explanation

A viral Chinese flying-saucer-looking aircraft has been identified as the EFC1200, an eVTOL built by E-Hawk Technology in Wuhan.

Official photos and company video confirm it has flown, and its unusual shape comes from eight enclosed ducted fans.

The design is meant to improve safety around buildings and in urban environments.

E-Hawk says the aircraft has completed more than 130 test flights, but it still lacks approval for commercial passenger or tourism use.
