Google Messages is getting the one feature I’ve actually wanted for years

Google Messages added real-time location sharing, google Messages now supports real-time location sharing directly in chats.

User can start live location sharing from a conversation '+' menu, users can start sharing from the chat + menu and select real-time location sharing.

Real-time location feature offers four sharing duration options, sharing durations available: one hour, today only, until turned off, or a custom duration.

In-chat map updates live with the sharer’s movements, the map inside the chat updates continuously as the sharer moves.

Real-time location feature requires RCS and does not function over SMS, the feature works only in RCS chats and not in SMS conversations.
