AMD’s FSR 4.1 upscaling tech is coming to older graphics cards

AMD says FSR 4.1 will expand beyond Radeon RX 9000-series GPUs to RDNA 3 cards in July and RDNA 2 hardware in early 2027.

The update extends AMD’s newer upscaling tech to older chips that did not meet the original hardware requirements.

FSR 4.1 is now supported in more than 300 games, with titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield 6, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows among them.

The broader rollout could improve image quality and performance across more PCs and handheld devices, including Steam Deck-class hardware.
