DJI files patent lawsuit against Insta360 over six disputed technologies

DJI has filed a patent ownership lawsuit against Insta360 in Shenzhen over six disputed patents.

DJI says the patents were developed by former R&D employees soon after leaving DJI and are tied to work they handled there.

The patents reportedly cover drone control, design, and imaging technologies.

The Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court has accepted the case.

The dispute could affect ownership of key drone-related intellectual property and spotlight employee-invention risks in China’s tech sector.
